Pizza Day, an old favorite at Arbor Montessori School, is back again this year with delicious, mouth-watering items, and great service.
WHAT IS PIZZA DAY?
Pizza Day is a business led by the Adolescent Program that offers pizza, salads, bread knots, juice, and other sides to the students and staff at Arbor Montessori. Pizza Day offers a simple and efficient way for students and staff at Arbor Montessori to not only purchase but enjoy pizza and various other products. Pizza Day is offered once a month with the first official Pizza Day this year being on October 23rd and the last one occurring on May 13th. Pizza Day food items can be easily purchased by simply filling out a Pizza Day form and attaching the required money (cash or check) to the form.
WHY PIZZA DAY?
The Adolescent Program at Arbor Montessori specifically focuses on teaching its students responsibility and prepares all students for adulthood. One of the most important ways the school teaches this is through its Microeconomy, which is led by the Adolescent Program students. Pizza Day is a crucial part of the microeconomy and teaches adolescents economic responsibility as well as how to work effectively both with a team and independently. Seventh and eighth grade students actively participate in Pizza Day, making sure it runs smoothly and positively impacts the Arbor community.
All profits of Pizza Day go to the Adolescent Program's Microeconomy and are used to help offset expenses of our year-end trips or any other investments in our classroom community.
